If you’re looking to make a few quick bucks, it turns out your bowel movement could be the key to a small fortune.

That’s right, poo transplants are a thing, and the Centre for Digestive Disease (CDD) wants to pay you for your poo.

The CDD is currently short of donors, with people who suffer from autism, multiple sclerosis and chronic diarrhoea benefiting from the treatment.

The process sees the patient eliminate bad gut bacteria using antibiotics, with a faecal transplant enema then used to repopulate the gut with good bacteria. The procedure will cost the receiving patient $700.

Each deposit earns the donator $40, or $200 per week.

To be eligible to donate, you must be of a normal weight and eat certain foods, such as wholemeal bread and pasta, veggies and fruit.
