How to become a patient

Step 1

Send a referral from your GP (valid for 12 months) or Specialist (valid for 3 months) to CDD by mail, pdf via email reception@cdd.com.au or fax 9712 1675.

Step 2

Your referral will be reviewed by the CDD medical team

Step 3

Once reviewed you will be called by a member of the admissions team for the appointment. This process may take up to 4 weeks.

How do I find out the time of my procedure?

We will call you prior to your procedure date and let you know the exact time we have scheduled you in.

The Centre for Digestive Diseases is a Specialist GI Centre for people over 16 years of age.

Do I need a referral?

Yes you need a referral from your GP (valid for 12 months) or Specialist (valid for 3 months).

All referrals are active from the date you are first consulted by the Specialist, not the date the referral was written.

How do I know if you have received my referral?

You’ll receive an automated response once referral is reviewed we will call you in regards to making an appointment.

What if my condition is urgent?

Urgent referrals are processed via our Rapid Access Criteria. In this case, you will be called within 1-2 days of the referral

When do I get an appointment?

We will contact you within 2-4 weeks to arrange an appointment.

If I have a procedure booked and need to urgently change the time what do I do?

Please email us here and we will respond that day. reception@cdd.com.au
