Graduated from St George’s Hospital Medical School, London in 2006

He has obtained MRCP (UK), and is a FRACP, FRCP, FACP, FRACGP.

After a year’s internship in the UK, Dr Agrawal relocated to Australia after reading about Prof Borody’s research in scientific journals at medical school. There was a desire for the chance to learn and work with Professor Borody, especially in the field of Crohn’s disease and the use of Anti-MAP, which fitted with his hypothesis during his learning. Dr Agrawal completed his junior years in Australia and then became a qualified General Practitioner with the Royal Australasian College of GPs. Subsequently, he re-embarked upon hospital training and became a Gastroenterologist by 2018 becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. He has worked at numerous hospitals along the NSW coast for his training and recently finished a Clinical Research Fellowship at Guy’s & St Thomas’s NHS Hospitals in London. Here he ran a clinical trial utilizing a novel vaccine technology in Crohn’s Disease.

In addition, he is a fellow of the UK Royal College of Physicians and an International Fellow of the American College of Physicians and member of Gastroenterologists.

Dr Agrawal is a pioneer in Crohn’s disease treatment on the basis of a sound general medicine foundation. He looks at disease as a whole of the human body incorporating a holistic and complementary approach. He has pioneered the use of Anti-MAP, hyperbaric oxygen treatment amongst others in Crohn’s disease showing their benefit and efficacy.

In addition, other interests of his are the gut microbiome and dysbiosis, treatment of parasitic infections, intestinal faecal microbiota transplants and H.Pylori.
