Dr John Saxon

Dr John Saxon has consulted with the team at the Centre for Digestive Diseases (CDD) for over twenty years. He brings with him a broad background in Emergency Medicine, Anaesthesia, and Intensive Care.

Dr Saxon Graduated from the University of New South Wales. He completed his training at Saint Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney. He has worked extensively in Gastroenterology giving sedation at the Centre for Digestive Diseases and Rosemont Endoscopy Centre.

His extended interests include Sports Medicine with a busy practice, as a consultant to the Australian Turf Club and other racing bodies here and overseas. Dr Saxon has undertaken extensive studies in Health and Safety in the racing industry, having presented this in international forums here and overseas. He is actively involved in Acute Trauma Point of Care for injured jockeys.

Other interests in Gastroenterology include the development of a new encapsulated bowel preparation and safety in gastroenterology sedation. He is active as Chairman with the CDD Medical Advisory Committee.

Dr Saxon has acted as Chairman of the board for VO33 helmets, an innovative Australian company involved in developing a radical new design for a motorcycle helmet.
